The Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) is a private, 501 (c) (3) educational non-profit that administers the Semester at Sea® program. Located in Fort Collins, Colorado, ISE is staffed by professionals who manage voyage operations and hire faculty and staff who deliver our academic program aboard our ship, the MV World Odyssey.

Students may take college courses while on board a cruise ship that is traveling around the world. Some students may wish to learn in different ways than sitting in a classroom.
